3.2 Usudio -welded service life

The key life of ultrasonic welding is determined by the following points.

1) Welding head material ultrasonic welding requires the characteristics of metal materials and goodness (small mechanical loss during the process of sound wave transmission). Therefore, the most commonly used materials are aluminum alloy and titanium alloy. However, ultrasonic metal welding requires welding head wear resistance (high hardness required), which makes the choice of materials more difficult, because hardness and toughness are naturally opposed. The effective life of the welding head is as much as possible. Therefore, the cost is high.

2) The welding head processing process includes the processing process and subsequent processing process, thermal treatment and the repair of the parameters. After each welding head is made, the parameters must be determined and adjusted separately to ensure the welding quality.

3) The welding contact operation method is set to set appropriate welding parameters according to different welding contacts. Unreasonable welding parameters and wrong operation methods will also greatly reduce the service life of ultrasonic welding heads.
