Contact insertion force design
Among the factors affecting the contact resistance, the contact pressure has the greatest influence, but the contact pressure is generally unable to be measured.
The force required to overcome the resistance generated by the elastic contact when the contact is inserted and pulled out is called the contact insertion force and pull-out force. According to Hooke's law, when the contact pressure is greater, the force required to overcome the resistance generated by the elastic contact The greater the force required, that is, the greater the insertion and extraction force, so in a sense, the insertion and extraction force is the friction force generated between the contacts under the positive pressure of the elastic contact.
When the insertion force changes in a certain range, the change of the contact resistance is more obvious. In other areas, the change of the contact resistance is relatively passivated. Even if the insertion force increases a lot, the contact resistance does not decrease significantly. From an economic point of view, beyond a certain limit, it is not practical to ask to increase the insertion force to reduce the contact resistance. Therefore, in order to reduce the contact resistance, it should not only be considered from the insertion force.
contact pressur
The contact pressure is the force generated by the surfaces in contact with each other and perpendicular to the contact surface, which affects the electrical contact performance. The reduction of the positive pressure due to mechanical or environmental stress will cause an increase in the contact resistance. If it exceeds the specified value, the circuit will fail.
