1.2 line protection design

The calculation formula of the cross -sectional area of the wire is:

In the formula: A -wire cross -sectional area, mm2; i -current, A; ρ -copper wire resistivity; L -wire length, m; UD -wire allowable voltage drop, V.
In order to avoid excessive wire heating, the current density should be considered. The calculation formula is:
S = i / a (2)

Of course, in the usual wiring beam design, you can directly select the cross -area of the wire according to the experience. Generally, the electrical equipment that usually works for a long time can choose a wire with a actual load of 60%, and the electrical equipment that works in a short time can choose the actual load of 60%~ 100%wire. That is, ordinary sensor signal cables, generally choose a wire with a cross -sectional area of 0.5 mm2; power cords or iron wires, generally choose a wire with a cross -sectional area of 2.5mm2.
