For example: the battery pack of the Tesla Roadster pure electric vehicle consists of 6831 18650-type lithium-ion batteries, of which 69 are connected in parallel to form a group, and then 9 groups are connected in series to form a layer, and finally 11 layers are stacked in series, as shown in Figure 2 -9 shown.
1) Battery cell: the smallest unit (3.2V) that constitutes a power battery module.
2) Battery module: a combination of a group of battery cells connected in parallel.
3) Module: an assembly composed of multiple battery modules or battery cells connected in series.
4) Power battery assembly: Connect each module in series to form a power battery assembly.
The power battery is usually composed of 90 to 100 battery modules in series, and the voltage is as high as DC380V (some cars reach 600V). The safety measures for external power supply must be reliable.
