1 Introduction
The car wire beam consists of terminals, protectives, wires, connectors, tapes, ripples, PVC pipes, thermal retractables, fuses, insurance boxes and other attachments. Because the wire beam is different in the vehicle, it is divided into engine wiring, front wire beam, instrument wiring, chassis wire beam, door wire bundle, top wire beam, etc. (Figure 1).
2 Car Design Overview
First of all, list the function parts connected to the wiring beam, and then confirm the function of the component with the corresponding electrical engineer, obtain ICD information, and then determine the electrical principle layout diagram. Next, check the principles of each system and organize a complete line beam schematic diagram.
Secondly, after the schematic diagram is determined, the 3D wire beam is distributed. This process is basically defined to install the attachment installation location of the attachment of the insurance box, the connector, the plug, and the positioning buckle. After the 3D direction diagram is determined, the 2D drawing is transformed. The 2D drawings refer to the industry standards. If there are other special requirements for the OEM, it can be determined in the process.
Furthermore, according to the initial 2D drawings, make handmade lines and test verification on the entire vehicle (including static verification and dynamic verification). Based on the results of the trial installation verification, the wiring engineer optimized and adjusted the line beam direction and size. The wire beam plays the role of connecting the entire vehicle electrical parts. Due to the requirements of each electrical system or the installation of the vehicle, the wiring beam needs to be adjusted and optimized in conjunction with each system, that is, the entire development process is also the process of continuously optimizing and updating the design [1].
